1. Who we are

Hire Overseas University ("HOU," "we," "us") is an AI training and talent-development program operated by Hire Overseas. This policy covers the hireoverseasuniversity.com website and application.

2. What we collect

When you apply to the Premium track or sign in to access courses, we may collect:

  • Contact details — name, email address, country/timezone
  • Application details — the track you're interested in, your current role and skills, a work sample link, your availability, and your English proficiency
  • Account details — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google
  • Usage data — course progress, lessons completed, and activity within the platform, so we can track your learning and flag standout contributors to our placement team

3. Why we collect it

  • To review and respond to your Premium application
  • To give you access to courses, the skills library, and the community
  • To identify strong candidates for placement with Hire Overseas clients — this is the core purpose of the program
  • To improve the courses and platform

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Where it's stored

Application and account data is stored in a managed database (Supabase, hosted in our selected data region). Access is restricted: applicants can submit an application, but cannot view other applicants' data. Our team reviews submissions directly in the database.

5. Third parties we use

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Google — sign-in, if you choose that option
  • Video hosting provider — for streaming course lessons (used only to deliver video; not for advertising)

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms, which you can review on their respective sites.

6. Cookies

We currently use only the minimal cookies/local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your course progress. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

7. Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us (below). If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke HOU's access from your Google Account permissions at any time.

8. Children

Hire Overseas University is intended for working adults seeking employment opportunities. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform grows. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
